All Donations Are Appreciated!
Every bit of monetary funding is extremely important in keeping RFA true to its mission of giving students the opportunity to experience as well as develop skills in the arts. Funding will give our students private lessons, transportation to trips such as museums, concerts, Broadway Shows, pay for performance venues, pay RFA artists, museum costs, art supplies, music stands, instrument repair as well as accessories such as rosin for bows, replacement bows, strings, bridges, shoulder pads for violins and violas, wax for trumpet and trombone, and horn mouth pieces just to name a few.
ANY AMOUNT WILL GO A VERY LONG WAY AT RFA!
RFA is in need of instruments to continue offering middle school students options in the arts. Instruments are the hardest part of the program to get funded.
Many of the students requested the opportunity to play specific instruments because they played an instrument in another school. For example, Anthony played trombone in his school down south and wants to try it since he has moved to New York City. Kiana would really love to learn how to play the cello. We do not have instruments and middle school students are curious to see if they have talent in playing an instrument.
So if you know of anyone or have any instrument sitting around in your house, please contact us or ask friends and family to donate their gently used instrument to this worthy cause. We are interested in but not limited to :
Violins, Violas, Cellos, Bass, Trumpets, Trombones, Flutes, Clarinets, French Horns, Bassoons, Oboes, Piano Keyboards, Drum Sets, Drumsticks, Electric Guitars, Acoustic Guitars, Percussion-Tambourines, Maracas, Xylophones.
RFA LOVES gift cards!! Staples, American Express, Sam Ash, Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Amazon and even movie passes are great!
These cards help us get snacks and water for our students, writing/art supplies for the choir and mixed media and really takes care of the little things that come up. Sam Ash supplies will help with music stand purchases, sheet music and instrument repair services.
If you would like to donate water, juice, snacks, pencils, pens, etc. on your own we will gladly accept those items too. We want to make sure that our students have what they need to make it through the RFA after school program in a healthy and happy environment.
